The Yamaha MG10XU 10-channel mixer carries on the tradition of the PM1000 Yamaha mixer that was first introduced into the U.S. market back in the 70s. It was a professional mixer used by many pro sound companies, and it set the stage for other Yamaha mixers. The latest of which is the new MG Series.
The Yamaha MG10XU is a 10-channel stereo mixer featuring studio-quality preamps, powerful digital processing, and a rugged, metal chassis. It incorporates some of the same technologies developed for use in Yamaha's high-end professional consoles.
Class-A Mic Preamps
D-Pre preamps in the MG10XU are studio-grade, and deliver natural-sounding bass and smooth highs, with very low distortion. They have a wide frequency range that can handle signals from almost any signal source without amplifying unwanted noise.
Op-Amp Integrated Circuits
The MG10XU mixer has custom-made MG01 op-amps that were developed in cooperation with the manufacturer to focus on signal quality as the most important component.
Switchable Phantom Power
With phantom power, MG Series audio mixers allow you to take full advantage of the greater frequency response and high sound quality of condenser microphones. The PAD Switch attenuates high input signals and helps to avoid clipping that can seriously affect your mix.
One Knob Compression
One knob compressors are a Yamaha innovation and now have become an industry standard. It gives you instant access to optimize compression with a single rotary knob.
Other important features of the MG10XU console include: 3-band equalizers for precise control, and high-pass filters to eliminate low-frequency noise; AUX effect sends to add external digital processors; a variety of input/output connectors including Neutrik XLR jacks; and its all-wrapped up in a metal chassis with an internal power supply to give you worry-free operation.
